Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact by helping students and special education teams succeed as a full-time IEP Coordinator. This contract opportunity focuses exclusively on IEP coordination and case management—there is no direct instruction required—giving you the chance to use your strengths in organization, communication, and compliance procedures in a dynamic educational environment. In this 30-hour-per-week role, you'll be the point person for managing and facilitating the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. Professionals with experience navigating special education systems, especially in similar roles (such as Case Manager, IEP Coordinator, or ARD Facilitator), will find this position an excellent match for their skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and lead IEP meetings for students receiving special education services Serve as the primary communication bridge between families, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams Ensure all IEP documentation is accurate, compliant, and completed within required timelines Maintain and monitor student records and special education processes Support compliance with state and federal special education requirements in collaboration with district staff Proficiently use district IEP systems, including Embrace and CPS platforms, to manage workflows Provide robust case management support to keep special education procedures running smoothly
Desired Qualifications:
Active Special Education certification (Birth-21 preferred, all considered) Proven history in a case management or IEP coordination role Experience with Embrace/CPS IEP systems is highly valued Exceptional attention to detail, strong documentation and organizational abilities Skilled at multitasking, deadline management, and facilitating communication among diverse groups Bring your expertise and commitment to help ensure rigorous, timely, and student-centered special education processes.
