Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Take the next step in your special education career by embracing an opportunity that blends adventure and impact. Five full-time, onsite Special Education Teacher positions are available for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting a vibrant K-5 community near Ridgeville, SC. This contract role is ideal for educators who are passionate about making a genuine difference for students with diverse learning needs and who are open to the adventure that travel brings.
Multiple teaching roles are open:
Two Resource Teachers, splitting responsibilities across grades K-5. Two Core Replacement Teachers, also sharing grades K-5. One Moderate-Severe Teacher, focused on supporting students in grades K-5.
What you bring:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification. Experience working within elementary grade levels, preferably K-5. Familiarity with differentiated instruction, IEP implementation, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility and enthusiasm for adapting to new environments. Excellent communication and organizational skills. What you'll do: Develop and deliver effective, individualized instruction for students with varying needs. Implement IEPs and monitor student progress. Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff. Create inclusive classroom environments that promote student growth. Engage in ongoing professional development and best practices in special education.
