TERMS & BENEFITS:
10 month position, 35 hours/week; medical, dental, vision, life benefits; 403(b); 10 sick days and 2 personal days; preschool/child care discounts; mandatory participation in Arizona State Retirement System.
QUALIFICATIONS
A High School Diploma or GED; Completion of a state-approved CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification training course; Basic CPR/First Aid training AND minimum 12-months of medical office, nursing assistant or closely related experience.
SUMMARY:
Interact directly with students, assisting with daily living skills. Provides quality care in an environment that allows children to develop to their potential with engaging activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist student(s) with activities of daily living, including eating/feeding, grooming, dressing, use of assistive technology/devices, mobility, toileting/diapering, transfers, and positioning. Assist with medical needs, including properly handling/cleaning/use of medical supplies and equipment. Ensure that safety protocols and procedures are carried out properly. Provide a clean and organized environment where children are safe, nurtured, and valued. Assist teacher in implementation of behavioral management strategies, instructional objectives, and student individualized education plan (IEP) goals. Document care delivered to student(s) as outlined in a student's individualized education plan (IEP). Communicate with the child's educational team regarding the students' needs and progress. Perform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner. Work effectively as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively. Participate in new training/learning as required with each new situation/assignment. Utilize good communication skills, including the ability to communicate and protect sensitive information. Follow plans with specific interventions and effectively model for other staff members. Maintain punctual and regular attendance. Comply with local, state and federal law and adhere to State Department of Education and local school board policy. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain current First Aid, CPR and CNA/HHA certification.
