Job Description

St. Charles Borromeo School is looking for a dedicated K- 8 Special Services Teacher who loves God, the Catholic Faith, and students with special needs! This teacher will work with our dynamic and talented teachers, paraprofessionals, and district SPED support team, who partner with parents in bringing out the best in our students. At St. Charles, we are growing our capacity to serve students with higher levels of need and are looking for someone with a strong faith and heart for this mission. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who strive for excellence in faith, virtue, service, and academics. We have been delivering on that mission reliably since 1939, generation after generation. School Video Our New Special Services Teacher will Cultivate the Catholic faith, virtuous character, and a love for learning Collaborate with general education teachers and paraprofessionals concerning student specific IEPs, accommodations, modifications, and interventions to assist students in growing to their fullest potential Partner with our parents and other staff members to ensure the success of each student Remediate learning deficits through direct instruction with students Support an engaging learning environment where students understand and meet expectations Modify lessons that support and engage our students, including assessments that will demonstrate the student's level of mastery Honor and support school initiatives, administrative decisions, the vision of our archdiocese, and the Catholic Church Participate as a member of the faculty team in professional development, committee responsibilities, and school initiatives Be committed to continually developing skills and improving as a teacher
