Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant Lancaster Start Date:

Full-time Pay:
£85-£100 per day (dependent on experience) Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive school in Lancaster to recruit a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant for a September start. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).The role will involve providing targeted support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language Needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Support may be delivered on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, both in and out of the classroom.
Role Responsibilities:
Support pupils with SEND to access learning and engage positively in school life Implement individual support strategies in line with EHCPs and behaviour plans Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities Support pupils' emotional regulation, social development, and independence Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND Be patient, resilient, and empathetic Have a good understanding of additional needs and inclusive practice Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff Be committed to safeguarding and promoting wellbeing Why Work Through Teaching Personnel?
