Specialized Nanny/Child Care Provider Debra Bullock Denver, CO Job Details Full-time $40 - $45 an hour 21 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Teamwork Outdoor work Bachelor's degree Driving Organizational skills Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) support Emotional disorders support Full Job Description Job Summary Specialized Nanny / Child Development & Behavioral Support Provider We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and proactive full-time childcare professional to support a bright, energetic 6-year-old child who benefits from emotional, behavioral, and developmental support. This role is ideal for someone experienced working with children with ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, sensory sensitivities, impulsivity, or strong-willed behaviors. We are looking for a calm, patient, and confident caregiver who can provide nurturing care while supporting independence, emotional regulation, structure, and healthy development. Candidates with backgrounds in Occupational Therapy, child development, behavioral therapy, special education, psychology, developmental support, or OT-informed caregiving are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a high-level therapeutic nanny / developmental support role that combines attentive childcare with emotional coaching, structured routines, enrichment, and developmental support. Spanish-speaking or bilingual candidates are a plus. Schedule
- Rotating shifts
- 3-4 days per week
- 8-13 hour shifts
- Typical hours: ○ 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM ○ 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Availability for 4-5 weekend days per month required Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing, and consistent full-time care
- Build a strong, trusting relationship with the child
- Support emotional regulation using calm, strengths-based approaches
- Respond to challenging behaviors with empathy, consistency, and clear boundaries
- Use co-regulation, redirection, sensory strategies, and structured routines to support transitions and reduce dysregulation
- Foster independence, confidence, and age-appropriate self-help skills
- Support development in communication, social-emotional growth, executive functioning, adaptive skills, and physical development
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, movement, learning, and exploration
- Incorporate outdoor activities, field trips, sensory-friendly play, and hands-on learning opportunities
- Assist with daily routines, including hygiene, dressing, meals, organization, and child-related responsibilities
- Safely transport the child to and from school, appointments, and activities
- Observe behavioral patterns, triggers, and developmental progress, communicating effectively with family and relevant caregivers
- Collaborate with parents, household staff, educators, and therapists to maintain consistency and structure
- Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in childcare, developmental support, behavioral support, education, therapy, or related fields
- Experience supporting children with ADHD, sensory needs, emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, or neurodivergent needs strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and developmental milestones
- Knowledge of emotional regulation, executive functioning support, positive behavioral strategies, or OT-informed care preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Calm, patient, and emotionally regulated under pressure
- Ability to create structure while remaining flexible and attuned
