Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide on-site direct services in a supportive educational environment, with flexibility for either full-time or part-time work to suit your needs. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in working with a diverse student body, including those with a range of communication needs—from simple articulation issues to non-verbal students utilizing augmentative communication devices. This role requires a proactive, compassionate professional ready to contribute their knowledge and passion to a collaborative educational team.
Desired Background and Skills:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Maine state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Certified Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech and Hearing Clinician Certificate K-12 (293) Current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) clearance Experience with students across exceptionalities Proficiency in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independentlyPrimary Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders Implement treatments tailored to individual student needs Maintain comprehensive records of student progress Participate actively in IEP meetings and partner with educational teams on student support plans Stay engaged with current best practices in the field This is your chance to guide students toward greater confidence and communication success in a dynamic educational setting.
