Overview Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - School Based $70 - $90 an Hour | Full-Time School Schedule | Choose Your Location!
Available Locations:
Vallejo, CA Modesto, CA Rapid Temps is hiring Speech Therapists for school-based opportunities in California for the 2026-2027 school year. Join a supportive educational team helping students strengthen communication and learning skills in a rewarding pediatric setting!
Position Details:
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, school hours 35 - 37.5 hours/week 36-week assignment with possible extension
Qualifications:
Active California SLP License Pediatric or school-based experience required
ASHA-CCC
preferred, not required BLS preferred Preferred Skills Experience supporting students with AAC needs Ability to manage a caseload across one or more school sites Comfortable providing both direct therapy and consultative services Caseload Caseload size: 55 Grade levels: K-12 depending on district needs Services may include direct therapy, assessments, IEP meetings, progress reporting, and collaboration with school staff Responsibilities The School SLP will be responsible for: Providing direct speech and language therapy services to students individually and in groups Conducting speech and language assessments and evaluations Developing, reviewing, and updating IEP goals related to communication needs Participating in IEP meetings, student support meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions Maintaining accurate documentation, service logs, progress reports, and compliance records Collaborating with teachers, school staff, parents, and other service providers Supporting students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, pragmatics, AAC, and other communication needs Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy strategies as appropriate Providing consultation and support to classroom teams Ensuring services are delivered in accordance with district policies, state requirements, and applicable special education regulations Why Work With Rapid Temps?
