Director of Special Education Position Overview:
Elwood Community School Corporation is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality speech and language services to students across all grade levels.Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams. Provide direct and consultative services in individual and group settings. Utilize data-driven strategies to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student success. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines. Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings. Maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical standards of practice. Assist with yearly hearing screenings.Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Indiana State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred. Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
