Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication and language development as a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Preferred Skills and Experience:
Current SLPA licensure in Illinois or eligibility to obtain. Previous practice as an SLPA, preferably in a school and healthcare environment. Familiarity with IEP processes and providing therapy under an SLP's supervision. Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication abilities. Enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations and tailoring interventions. Organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and schedules.Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist with delivering therapy to students, following prescribed interventions and individualized plans. Support with screenings, assessments, documentation, and progress monitoring. Implement engaging activities that facilitate receptive and expressive language development. Foster trust and rapport with students, parents, and other school staff. Maintain accurate records and contribute input for IEP meetings. Adapt approaches as needed to fit student needs and learning styles.What You'll Enjoy:
