Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with CCC certification to provide specialized support within an educational setting. This contract role is based in Palo Alto, CA, serving elementary, middle, high school, and postsecondary students. The position requires delivering speech and language services tailored to diverse student needs during the summer session. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders, collaborating with educators and families, and maintaining accurate documentation of student progress. Therapies will be provided within a structured daily schedule that varies by grade level, ensuring continuity of care throughout the summer period.
Work Schedule Overview:
Elementary & Middle School:
June 10 - July 7, 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM (4.5 hours/day plus 15-minute grace periods before and after)
High School:
June 15 - July 10, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM (6.5 hours/day plus 0.5-hour unpaid lunch and 15-minute grace periods)
Postsecondary:
June 16 - July 13, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM (6.5 hours/day plus 0.5-hour unpaid lunch and 15-minute grace periods)
Holidays:
No work on June 19 and July 4
Desired Qualifications:
Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license with CCC certification Proven experience delivering therapy services in school-based settings Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to manage caseloads independently and maintain detailed documentation Commitment to student progress and inclusive educational practices This position offers the opportunity to impact student communication outcomes positively during a critical academic break.
