Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A fulfilling opportunity awaits a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist eager to empower K-12 students to develop vital communication skills throughout the academic year in a school setting near Cooperstown, NY. This contract position offers the ability to directly influence student success and collaborate in a supportive educational community.
Key Qualifications:
Active certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) Candidates currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) are encouraged to apply Prior experience providing speech therapy services within school environments is highly valued Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders across all grade levels, along with effective intervention strategies
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and design individualized treatment plans for students presenting with a variety of speech, language, and communication challenges Deliver evidence-based therapy, continually adjusting interventions to maximize student progress Work closely with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to integrate communication objectives within classroom routines Maintain thorough documentation and compliance in accordance with school district and state requirements Compensation for this position ranges from $48/hour for Clinical Fellows to $64/hour for SLPs with CCCs. Eligible professionals may also benefit from healthcare coverage, housing, and meals/incidentals during the assignment.
