Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding part-time contract role supporting students throughout the 2026-2027 academic year! In this position, you'll focus on speech-language services alongside the added responsibility of supervising an SLPA. The schedule aligns with the school year, running from August 17, 2026, to May 27, 2027—giving you the perfect balance between meaningful work and flexibility. Your expertise as a certified Speech-Language Pathologist will allow you to make a difference in a collaborative educational environment, helping students reach their full communication potential while also mentoring team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP for schools in Virginia Previous experience providing speech and language services in a school setting preferred Experience supervising or mentoring other clinicians, such as SLPAs, is highly valued Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsKey Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy individually or in small groups to students within the school environment Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals Assess students' speech, language, and communication needs using evidence-based evaluation tools Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Provide supervision, support, and guidance to an assigned Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements Picture yourself making a positive difference in students' educational journeys while advancing your own professional skills and mentoring others.
