Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting K-8 students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the full 2026-2027 school year. Contribute your expertise in both educational and healthcare settings to foster communication skills and enhance student success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active California SLPA license required Experience providing SLPA services in school and/or healthcare environments Demonstrated ability to support children in K-8th grade Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Record of reliability and professionalism in school-based settings
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Implement individualized therapy plans and document student progress Support classroom teachers by providing strategies and resources to improve student communication Participate in IEP meetings and contribute student data as requested Adapt therapy activities to meet the diverse needs of K-8 learners Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
