Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling, contract-based opportunity supporting students in grades K-8 for the full 2026-2027 school year. This position is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) eager to apply their expertise in both educational and healthcare settings within a vibrant school environment. With 35 hours per week, you'll work closely with licensed professionals to help students reach their communication goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active California SLPA license required Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Passion for helping children develop their speech and language abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assist in conducting speech, language, and hearing screenings Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and document student progress Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication needs Prepare and maintain accurate therapy records and progress reports Engage in professional development and training as needed
