Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders (if needed) across diverse patient populations. Your energy and commitment will help improve the quality of life for children. You will collaborate closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to develop personalized therapy plans that foster meaningful progress. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference through expert patient care and innovative speech therapy techniques. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing issues Develop individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to each patient's unique needs, including early intervention strategies for pediatric clients Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions using evidence-based methods to promote communication skills and swallowing safety Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to maximize outcomes Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as physicians, occupational therapists, and educators to ensure holistic care Educate patients and their families on speech development milestones, therapeutic exercises, and strategies for ongoing improvement Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, submit 9 weeks of progress notes to case managers of each student, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations Skills Proven experience working in school settings or pediatric environments is highly desirable Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques tailored for children and early intervention programs Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations Solid understanding of physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions Ability to perform thorough patient assessments using appropriate tools and medical terminology Knowledge of anatomy relevant to speech and language processes for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Familiarity with medical records management and documentation standards in healthcare settings
