Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school-based environment near Mechanicsville, VA. Collaborate with dedicated educators and speech-language pathologists to positively impact the daily lives of children and help them develop strong communication skills that will serve them for years to come.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active SLPA license for the state of Virginia Previous school-based experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Passion for supporting students with diverse speech and language needs Ability to adapt session plans to meet the needs of individual learners
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students, following goals outlined by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists Support assessments and document student progress as required Create engaging therapy materials and assist with implementing treatment strategies Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication throughout the school environment Maintain accurate records and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) documentation as needed
