Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Speech-language pathologists passionate about supporting students' communication and academic success will find rewarding opportunities for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity is exclusively in-person and entails working within K-12 caseloads. Multiple full-time positions are available—four are 37.5 hours weekly, and one full-time opening is for a .7 FTE schedule. What you bring:
Current and valid Washington State SLP license Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification Completed fingerprinting through OSPI Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Prior experience or knowledge of working in school-based settings with K-12 students Exceptional communication, organization, and caseload management skills What you'll do: Evaluate, diagnose, and plan speech-language services for students in accordance with IEP requirements Provide direct therapy and consultative services to support diverse student needs, including articulation, language, fluency, and social communication Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student progress and generalization of skills Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district and state standards Manage a caseload typically between 48 and 60 students with a cap of 48 when possible—flexibility to adjust based on annual enrollment Participate in IEP meetings and support educational planning and decisions This school-based contract role is ideal for SLPs who value teamwork and are eager to empower students throughout their educational journey.
