Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an enriching opportunity making a daily difference for students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school-based environment. This full-time contract role will run for the 2026-2027 academic year, from September 2, 2026, to June 11, 2027, and offers the satisfaction of helping children and teens achieve their communication goals in a vibrant K-12 setting. As an SLPA, you will collaborate closely with licensed SLPs and educational professionals to deliver therapy services, create engaging activities, and track student progress. This position is ideal for those eager to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Washington SLPA license (or eligibility by start date) Experience in school-based settings a plus, though newer SLPAs are encouraged to apply Commitment to supporting students across diverse age groups and needs Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Flexibility and adaptability in responding to varied caseload needs
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out prescribed speech and language therapy activities under supervision of a licensed SLP Assist with therapy documentation, progress notes, and caseload management Create and prepare therapy materials and activities tailored to individual student goals Support generalization of communication skills within the classroom and school environments Foster positive, encouraging relationships with students, staff, and families Working within an educational community, you'll find both mentorship and autonomy as you help shape student success. The full-time schedule (32 hours/week) allows for meaningful impact while ensuring work/life balance.
