Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students during their Extended School Year (ESY) program as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Make a difference in children's lives by providing specialized speech therapy services that help them achieve meaningful progress and reach their full communication potential. Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active SLP license in Pennsylvania Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required Recent experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, teachers, and families Knowledge of IEP process and documentation standards
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative SLP services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to determine students' speech and language needs Develop targeted therapy plans and goals to address communication challenges Maintain detailed and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions Collaborate with special education staff and classroom teachers to support student learning and inclusion Provide guidance and resources to families to support carryover of strategies at home Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable professional insights regarding students' progress Experience the rewards of helping students thrive academically and socially throughout the summer session, while developing valuable professional skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
