Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a dynamic educational environment. This position is dedicated to providing therapy-focused speech-language services within a specialized regional day school program. You'll collaborate with a team of three therapists, reaching approximately 130 students, and primarily deliver direct intervention to help students develop essential communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology license required Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or DHHT certification Experience or interest in working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive atmosphere Flexibility to travel between assigned schools (as needed) within the program Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related support staffKey Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing individual and group therapy tailored to the diverse needs of DHH students Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate closely with fellow SLPs, educators, audiologists, and interpreters Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress reports Offer guidance, resources, and support to families and school staff Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP reviews Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal best practices and mandates The role is on-site only, located near Mesquite, TX, from August 11, 2026, to May 28, 2027, working 37.5 hours per week across assigned programs. Candidates must complete all required fingerprinting and credentialing steps before starting.
