Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity this upcoming academic year in the Baltimore area, where your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) can make a real difference for students. This full-time contract role places you at the heart of school life, working on-site to support communication skills across a diverse student population. The assignment runs from September through mid-June, aligning with the academic calendar, and offers a stable, engaging workload of 37.5 hours each week.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Valid and active Maryland professional licensure Willingness and ability to present documentation and images of required licensure upon request Strong understanding of school-based SLP service delivery Ability to participate in time-sensitive credentialing, including House Bill 486 (district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review) Adaptable, collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students as assigned Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain thorough documentation Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to maximize student progress Support students across assigned campuses to facilitate communication, articulation, fluency, and language development Participate actively in school meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and professional development This contract role provides stability during the school year, a collaborative school-based environment, and the opportunity to impact young lives daily.
