Sr. Accountant

Senior Accountant Location:

South Bend, Indiana (Fully Onsite)

Salary:

$65,000 – $75,000

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee core accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support day-to-day financial operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance, managing job cost tracking, and supporting business performance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain general ledger and prepare accurate monthly financial statements Process and file payroll taxes, sales & use taxes, and vehicle taxes Prepare monthly AIA billings for all active projects Monitor accounts receivable and support collections efforts Perform monthly bank reconciliations Prepare and submit monthly union reports Track and analyze job costs to ensure budget alignment Coordinate and oversee insurance renewals

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 3–5+ years of accounting experience (construction industry experience preferred) Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting Experience with AIA billing and job cost accounting preferred Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
