Sr. Applications Engineer Huntsville, AL Full-TimeHybrid$90,000 - $150,000 /yr Posted April 27, 2026 Role Overview This senior-level role owns customer application success for advanced manufacturing systems, providing hands-on technical leadership from initial concept through full production deployment. The position is responsible for integrating, validating, and supporting the industrialization of complex systems that operate reliably in real-world production environments. Working closely with principal engineers and cross-functional teams, this role contributes to the transition from first-of-kind implementations to standardized, repeatable, production-ready solutions. Key Responsibilities Support customer deployments, pilots, demonstrations, and production launches as a key technical contributor. Translate customer requirements into machine workflows and manufacturable outputs under the guidance of senior technical leads. Assist with installation, commissioning, calibration, and site acceptance activities. Troubleshoot and resolve field issues spanning hardware, software, controls, and manufacturing processes. Support CAD-to-production workflows using Siemens NX or equivalent CAD CAM tools. Develop routings, toolpaths, fixtures, and build definitions to support scalable production. Maintain configuration control and digital traceability across deployed systems. Support development and standardization of manufacturing methods for wiring harnesses and cable assemblies. Contribute to improvements in system repeatability, throughput, and first-pass yield. Author SOPs, training materials, and acceptance criteria; support NCR and root-cause analysis efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and serve as a technical resource for junior engineers. Required Qualifications 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, applications, or systems engineering. Experience supporting customer-facing deployments or technical installations in production environments. Proficiency with CAD CAM software such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and GD and T. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot cross-disciplinary technical issues in a hands-on environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Siemens NX or formal CAD CAM certification. Wiring harness or cable assembly design or manufacturing experience. Familiarity with Teamcenter or other PLM or PDM systems. Hands-on experience with robotic systems, CNC equipment, or PLC-controlled automation. Knowledge of

standards. Understanding of connectors, shielding, and electrical testing methodologies. Background in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
