Sr. Maintenance Technician

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repair tasks across assigned Wendelta restaurant locations. This role handles complex equipment repairs, supports preventive maintenance execution, and serves as a technical resource for other technicians. The Senior Maintenance Technician ensures high quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and timely resolution of critical R&M issues.

Select Responsibilities:

1. Advanced Repair Execution

• Perform diagnosis and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment systems.
• Troubleshoot complex or recurring repair issues.
• Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, and system repairs in compliance with EPA regulations.
• Complete work orders in accordance with company standards. 2. Preventive Maintenance
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
• Document PM completion accurately within CMMS.
• Identify emerging asset failure risks during PM activities. 3. Field Support
• Assist Maintenance Technicians with technical troubleshooting.
• Provide field guidance on refrigeration and HVAC best practices.
• Support emergency repair situations as needed.
• Provide feedback to Maintenance Supervisor regarding recurring issues. 4. Safety and Compliance
• Ensure all refrigerant handling complies with EPA Section 608 requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation of refrigerant usage and recovery as required by law.
• Adhere to company safety standards including lockout tagout procedures and electrical safety practices.
• Ensure repairs meet brand and operational standards. 5. Reporting
• Maintain accurate work order documentation.
• Provide input regarding equipment lifecycle concerns. Key Performance Indicators
• Work order completion timeliness.
• Repeat repair rate performance.
• Quality of repair execution.
• PM compliance accuracy.
• EPA compliance documentation accuracy.
• Safety compliance adherence.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot three phase systems.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
• Strong diagnostic and root cause analysis capability.
• Ability to lift, stand, walk, and bend for long periods in uneven terrain or harsh weather & regularly lift 50lbs
• Valid driver's license.
