The Senior Quality Engineer will take a role in ensuring all products and processes meet stringent quality standards. Responsibilities:
- + Lead strategic quality initiatives and projects to enhance product quality.
+ Solve complex quality issues using advanced analytical techniques. + Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and standards. + Identify and implement quality improvement opportunities. + Mentor and train junior quality engineers and other staff. + Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all processes. + Oversee supplier quality assurance programs and audits. + Act as a point of contact for quality-related customer inquiries and issues. + Participate in program reviews and risk assessments to identify potential quality issues early + Provide quality input during program planning, design reviews, and stage-gate processes. + Coordinate quality activities and resources to support program milestones and deliverables. + Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and quality team members. + Lead strategic quality initiatives and projects to enhance product quality. + Solve complex quality issues using advanced analytical techniques. + Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and standards. + Identify and implement quality improvement opportunities. + Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all processes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
+ 8+ Years experience as a Quality Engineer or in a related field. + Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required. + Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. + Knowledge and experience in Aviation industry + Considerable knowledge of Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements. + Extensive experience in manufacturing and inspection. + Advanced ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures. + Advanced knowledge of
ISO9001, AS9001
standards. + Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt. + Strong leadership and strategic planning skills. +
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- + Experience in the aerospace and defense industry. + Advanced degree in Engineering or related field.
Essential Functions:
- + Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
+ Requirement to be on feet for a significant portion of the work shift. + Majority of work hours spent on a computer. + Hand/finger dexterity for using testing and inspection tools. + Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment. + Occasional travel may be required for audits and supplier visits.
