Position Summary Lead and support process engineering initiatives across multiple global facilities. Drive improvements in yield, capacity, efficiency, cost, and product quality through capital projects, technology upgrades, and process optimization. Contribute to due diligence for acquisitions and support new product development and customer technical service. #HEMIND Principal Duties & Responsibilities Lead and support capital and expense projects from concept to implementation. Collaborate with operations to identify and execute process improvements. Analyze and document plant processes; implement controls to sustain improvements. Support cross-functional teams in facility design, construction, and commissioning. Assist with quality, cost reduction, and equipment utilization using Six Sigma and statistical tools. Provide technical expertise in equipment operation, repair, and process control systems.
Develop process documentation:
PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specs, control logic. Support MMSR implementation and act as SME when needed. Contribute to new product development and customer technical service efforts. Prepare project documentation including feasibility studies, scopes, estimates, and CARs. Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering; advanced degree preferred. 7-10 years of experience in heavy manufacturing, mineral, or chemical processing industries.
Expertise in unit operations:
particle size reduction, drying, conveying, etc. Six Sigma training and statistical analysis (Minitab) preferred. PLC programming knowledge a plus. Strong communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Experience supervising projects and contractors is beneficial. Working Conditions Office and plant settings, including exposure to dust, chemicals, and varying conditions. PPE required in manufacturing areas. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed. 20-40% travel may be required depending on projects. Candidates near Fairmount, GA or Buxite, AR are preferred.
