Sr Project Manager

Owner's Engineer / Project Manager overseeing gas-fired power generation projects with Jenbacher engines through technical review, contractor coordination, and project execution management.

Job Responsibilities:

Act as the primary technical interface between the project owner, EPC contractors, suppliers, and site personnel Provide end-to-end oversight for power generation projects featuring Jenbacher gas engines Manage project milestones, budgets, and schedules to identify delays and cost overruns early Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for engine installation, site logistics, and commissioning Review contract documents, manage scope of work compliance, and approve technical deliverables Review and approve engineering designs, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and structural drawings for balance of plant and engine container solutions Ensure engine specifications, auxiliary systems, and containerized solutions meet technical requirements and local grid codes Verify technical data for heat and power generation, including efficiency and output Monitor construction activities for compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements Coordinate and supervise pre-start activities, leak testing, pressure testing, and final startup and testing of Jenbacher units Review final handover documentation, punch lists, and commissioning reports

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the power generation industry Experience as an Owner's Engineer, Consultant, or Project Manager on gas-fired reciprocating engine projects Specific experience with INNIO Jenbacher gas engines, including Type 3, 4, 6, or 9 platforms Experience with associated balance of plant systems Strong understanding of gas trains, cooling systems, and paralleling switchgear Proficiency with project management software such as

MS Project or Primavera Preferred Skills:

Experience reviewing and approving technical deliverables from EPC contractors and suppliers Experience with commissioning oversight, testing, and project handover documentation Knowledge of local grid code compliance and engine container solutions
