Are you an experienced accountant looking for a great company to work for? We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial health of our organization and ensuring compliance with all accounting and reporting regulations. Duties:
Execute day-to-day accounting tasks, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable. Preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Manage employee payroll system and execute reliable payroll reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and provide support for budgeting and forecasting processes. Support team with inventory adjustments and credit memos. Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to ensure the reliability of financial data. Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls. Support special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as needed. Maintain cash position reporting, projecting future cash balances given expected payables and collections. Assist in HR department as needed
Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
  • Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles
  • Proficiency in financial management practices
  • Understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger accounts
  • Experience with payroll processing and tax regulations
  • Familiarity with corporate accounting procedures
  • Ability to forecast financial outcomes accurately
  • Knowledge of technical accounting standards and practices
  • Understanding of accrual accounting principles
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting requirements
Additional Helpful Skills:
  • Experience in the solar industry
  • Experience working with prevailing wage
  • Experience working with project financing requirements for job close out and payment
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
  • Proficiency with Paychex Payroll
  • Strong customer service
  • Works well in a team format for project coordination
