Position Summary Agilant Solutions is looking for an established Staff Accountant in our Naperville, IL office. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through the preparation of a company's reports and statements. They will report to the Senior Accountant. Duties/Responsibilities  Support A/R function by building relationships with customers, with an open line of communication, including correspondence, phone calls and managing electronic payment portals  Assist daily cash applications, making sure all cash receipts are applied properly.  Verify, apply, and process credit memos and RMA's (return merchandise authorizations)  Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy  Organize and update financial records  Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue  Assist in monthly bank reconciliation process  Reconcile monthly sales taxes and leverage tax system for remittance  Prepare documentation for external auditors Required Skills/Abilities  Strong mathematical and analytical skills  Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel  Excellent oral and written communication skills  Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously  Ability to read and analyze financial reports Education and Experience  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration  At least two years' experience in accounting or a related field  CPA, or pursuing CPA certification, a plus  Previous experience with Netsuite and Paylocity a plus.
