This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing accounting responsibilities with client support and wants a stable Monday through Friday schedule with some flexibility in start and end times. The role offers the chance to contribute across core accounting functions, including payroll support, tax-related work, and day-to-day financial recordkeeping.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records and support timely month-end activities. Reconcile and manage general ledger accounts, ensuring transactions are recorded correctly and consistently. Assist with corporate tax and sales tax processes, including gathering data and supporting filings as needed. Contribute to the preparation of corporate tax return documentation and help organize supporting financial information. Handle accounting-related data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Provide responsive customer service by answering routine questions and assisting with account-related matters. Support payroll-related tasks by reviewing information, helping maintain records, and assisting with processing activities. Work with QuickBooks for applicable accounts while adapting to the needs of different engagements. Experience in staff accounting or a similar accounting-focused position. Working knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity. Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return support. Understanding of payroll processes and related accounting responsibilities. Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to communicate professionally and deliver strong customer service. Experience with QuickBooks is helpful for client-based accounting work.
