Staff Accountant

Job description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our clients fast-growing hospitality business. Key Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to): Maintain and reconcile accounting records, ledgers, and journal entries. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and audit documentation. Perform or assist with daily income audits and revenue reporting. Process accounts payable, including invoice processing, AP statement reconciliation, and payment selection/processing. Respond to internal and external billing inquiries professionally and accurately. Process credit card chargebacks and electronic fund transfers. Prepare and submit sales tax filings; manage tax-exempt documentation. Track and maintain licenses, permits, and capital expenditures. Assist with bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Cashiering, cash bank issuing and auditing, over/short tracking. Provide cross-functional support and training to non-accounting staff as needed. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). Internship experience or 0-4 years of relevant work experience (preferred). Must be local to the Rochester, Minnesota area.
