Paradigm is a software company transforming the way that the residential, construction & building product industries operate across the globe. We are looking for a Staff Designer to be part of revolutionizing these industries. In this role, you will play a key role in designing intuitive, high‑quality experiences across our products. You will contribute to and may lead complex design projects from discovery through delivery, helping craft thoughtful, scalable solutions that support today's workflows and emerging opportunities, including AI‑enabled improvements.
What You Will Do:
Contribute to and may lead complex product design work across the full design process, from problem framing and exploration through high‑fidelity UI. Translate user research insights into clear workflows, interaction patterns, and intuitive product interfaces. Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual designs in Figma to communicate and refine design ideas and accelerate decision-making and alignment. Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to understand requirements, explore solutions, and facilitate smooth implementation. Identify UX issues or inconsistencies and recommend thoughtful improvements that enhance user understanding and overall usability. Anticipate when new components or pattern extensions may be needed. Use feedback from user research, teammates, and stakeholders to improve and iterate on designs solutions. Evaluate evolving design tools and AI capabilities, recommending improvements that can streamline workflows or enhance design efficiency. Apply design system components appropriately to create consistent, high‑quality, and scalable product experiences. Improve team craft by participating in design critiques, enhancing documentation, and modeling strong design practices. Stay current on emerging AI tools and design technologies and use these insights to suggest opportunities that could support AI‑assisted design and development workflows. Mentor and inspire other designers - fostering growth, sharing knowledge, and ensuring the best design practices are followed across the team. What You Need toSucceed:
9+ years of experience in product design. Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field or equivalent experience. Deep knowledge in Figma and modern design tooling. Ability to design effectively within a design system, ensuring thoughtful use of components and consistency across the product experience. Significant experience working in enterprise or multi-team environments where clarity, consistency, and cross-product alignment are important. Ability to design UI for complex tools, workflows, or internal systems. Demonstrated interest in AI-enabled design or development workflows, and a track record of staying current as tools and capabilities evolve. A pragmatic, outcomes‑focused mindset that balances user needs, technical constraints, and business context to drive clear, practical decisions. Ability to operate independently in ambiguous spaces. Exceptional communication skills and collaboration skills. Ability to bring clarity to complex topics and influence cross‑functional partners through strong design reasoning.
