Steel Fabrication Shop fitter/ welder

Shure-Line Construction is looking for a experienced fitter that would work with structural steel in our steel fabrication shop. The candidate would work with a project manager, Shop Manager, and crew to get the job finished on time and with a superior quality of work. The candidate must understand and support the adherence to all of our safety policies and procedures. This position will be required to assemble or erect steel as required for equipment, interpret shop drawings, perform complex riggings, precision installation of equipment, machinery or components. A large component of this position is the ability to read and process information on steel erection and fabrication drawings.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess documents that establish identity and employment authorization.
• Candidate must have reliable transportation.
• Candidate must have the ability to pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.
• Candidate must have strong communication skills.
• Candidate must be able to work multiple jobs simultaneously.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Candidate must understand technical requirements of the industry.
• Candidate must maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
