Steel Shop Loader & Delivery Driver

We are looking for a hardworking Loader / Delivery Driver to join Intermountain Lift. You will be the final link between our shop and our customers, responsible for accurately loading heavy steel orders and delivering them safely to job sites. This role requires significant physical strength, forklift expertise, and a commitment to road safety. [1, 2, 3]

Key Responsibilities:

Loading & Staging:

Use forklifts to load steel bundles, pipes, and beams onto flatbeds or trailers; ensure all loads are balanced and securely strapped for transport.

Local Deliveries:

Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport steel products to various local sites and vendors.

Securement:

Properly use chains, straps, and binders to secure heavy or oversized loads according to safety standards.

Shop Assistance:

Help with receiving raw steel shipments and organizing the shop yard; assist fabricators with material movement as needed.

Documentation:

Verify order accuracy against packing slips and obtain customer signatures upon delivery. [1, 2, 3]

Requirements:

Physical Power:

Must be "good with your hands" and capable of consistently lifting/moving at least 50 lbs .

Driving Credentials:

Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record (MVR) are required.

Equipment Mastery:

Proven experience operating forklifts in a tight shop or yard environment.

Delivery Experience:

Prior experience making professional deliveries, specifically with flatbeds or heavy materials, is highly preferred.

Safety Mindset:

Strict adherence to shop safety protocols and road traffic laws.

Pay:

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
