Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Step into a critical nursing role supporting a dynamic interdisciplinary healthcare team in a progressive care unit setting. As an experienced Registered Nurse, your skills in stepdown and PCU care will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient outcomes in an engaging clinical environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current, unrestricted RN license Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience in a Stepdown or PCU setting Strong understanding of advanced cardiac monitoring, titration of vasoactive drips, and respiratory support BLS and ACLS certifications required Excellent communication and documentation skills Proficiency with electronic medical records preferred Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative healthcare setting
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients requiring close observational monitoring and interventions beyond general medical-surgical care Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient conditions, and initiate appropriate interventions Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment, and post-discharge care Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to maintain an optimal care environment Accurately document patient care activities and responses This contract position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients recovering from significant illnesses or surgeries.
