Retail Team Leader or Sales Associate Job Duties:

• Providing a high level of customer service by welcoming customers into the store, anticipating their needs, helping them to navigate the store, answering their questions, and solving their problems
• Working the seafood and prepared food counters, as well as the rest of the sales floor, providing knowledge about fish and meats and cooking methods for all our products (we will train you on this one!)
• Accurately operating a cash register
• handling cash, checks and credit card transactions with precision while following company policies and procedures
• Maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, updating pricing information, rotating products, removing out-of-date products, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by store manager
• Packing products for the sales floor. A lot of our product comes to us in bulk, so part of the job is to break it down into retail packs for purchase.
• Supporting opening and closing store activities
• Adhering to all food safety policies and procedures
• Maintaining a clean store and stock room environment. Breaking-down cardboard, cleaning shelves, doing dishes, and removing waste from the store.
• Room to grow into a Key holder role, closing and opening duties and Team Lead role.

An Ideal Candidate:

• We are looking for an engaging, outgoing, enthusiastic, and energetic person to join our team.
• Experience in retail is preferred; food or restaurant experience is a plus .
• Students at John Carroll, Cleveland State, Tri-C, Baldwin Wallace, Ursuline, and other local colleges are welcome . Including High School Students. Our flexible scheduling options can work around your class schedule.
• Ability to learn our product line and encourage sales in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical requirements: must be able to remain upright on your feet for sustained periods of time; some heavy lifting is required; ability to work in a cool environment.
• Availability to work variety of shifts, mainly nights (finished by 6:30 pm), but including mornings, and possibly on Saturday.
