Summary:

Make adjustments to coolers after the welding process, ensuring they are level on all sides before proceeding to the test tank process.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be available and able to work the agreed-upon shift.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to use basic computer programs. Ability to read, write and understand detailed work instructions. Ability to use various hand tools.

Essential Functions:

Read and understand detailed work order instructions. Use a pallet jack to transport coolers from the welding area to the straightening table. Manually, or with assistance of a chain hoist, lift cooler onto the straightening table. Use various hand tools to determine if the cooler needs to be straightened. If straightening is needed, use the hammer on the side of the cooler that is not level. Tighten a clamp on the cooler and drill inserts into the cooler if needed. Document and stamp the coolers when they have been straightened, then transport the coolers to the test tanks. Meet the production quotas provided by the Lead or Supervisor. Develop and maintain knowledge of the various types of coolers. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Report any issues to the Supervisor, or appropriate personnel, as soon as detected.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand (20%) and walk (80%) of the time. May also be required to bend, stoop, pull, push, twist, and turn. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs (75%) of the time. Must be able to use a pallet jack and a chain hoist. Must use safety equipment such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
