Street Sweeper

POSITION SUMMARY

The Street Sweeper Driver is responsible for safely operating a Class B Street sweeper for construction, commercial, industrial sites and roadways.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Drive commercial street sweeper and related equipment to sweep and clean streets Performs required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reports Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations Maintains all required certifications required by DOT Adheres to all OSHA and company safety programs Maintains and protects all property Informs on-duty mechanic of any maintenance issues with equipment and/or vehicles Maintains various records and/or logs as needed per DOT regulations Fuels truck at the end of each workday Communicates professionally and effectively with management, employees, and customers

Requirements:

Have a valid Minnesota CDL Class B Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid health card and license Ability to lift up to 70 pounds Driver must be 21 years old per DOT. Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

WORK CONDITIONS

Outdoor environment; exposure to extreme weather conditions; work with and around heavy machinery; exposure to dust and fumes from motorized equipment; exposure to noise, odors and gases; exposure to heavy traffic conditions, possible exposure to toxic chemicals.

PHYSCIAL DEMANDS

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
