The Streets Division is responsible for the maintenance of over 287 miles of roadway, including: 100,000 lbs. of crack sealing annually, repairing an average of 2,500 potholes, more than 60,000 miles of plowing and deicing for snow and ice control annually, and more! The Road and Bridge team is looking to hire a Streets Technician I who will receive training and development in the repair of potholes, crack-sealing, and other maintenance projects. This position will work under the direction of the Foreman and conduct unskilled to semi-skilled work in support of the Streets Division. Total Compensation Package 112 hours paid vacation + 10 sick days + 12 paid holidays per year Free Recreation Center Pass (Gym & Pool) No probationary period- start accruing your leave day 1 Stable year-round employment with a 40 hour/week set schedule 6% employer retirement match Most evenings and weekends off (usually weather dependent) Medical, dental, & vision insurance Paid periodic On-Call duty Wellness discount on insurance premiums available Paid CDL training Essential Required Tasks/Examples of Duties Debris and trash removal from roadways Patch potholes with asphalt hot mix and cold mix Perform crack-seal and mastic operations Grade dirt roads and road shoulders, repairs road shoulders Parking lot seal coat installation Inspect contractual work under the supervision of the foreman or Pavement Management Specialist that includes: Crackseal Asphalt Patching Bridge and guardrail maintenance and repairs Pavement preservation, repairs, and treatments.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record for continued employment. New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: in-person or virtual interviews, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry, DMV check, and pre-placement physical and drug screen. Certifications- required with 6 months of hire Class B Commercial Driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsement Flagger's Certification Working Conditions Work involves on-call duty which requires working weekends on a rotating basis and working all hours during emergency repairs as needed.
