Job Description
Structural Designer needed to develop 3D structural models, produce coordinated drawing sets, manage assigned design scope, and support structural design packages. Job Requirements Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or equivalent Minimum of 5 years of structural drafting/design experience Minimum of 3 years of Revit experience Experience developing 3D structural models from verbal instructions, markups, or conceptual sketches Experience producing coordinated and constructible drawing sets Experience reviewing models and documents for quality, completeness, and standards compliance Experience coordinating with engineers and related disciplines Experience applying department and client standards to design work Preferred Skills 7 years of structural drafting/design experience 5 years of Revit experience SmartPlant experience Tekla experience Navisworks experience Bluebeam experience Experience designing traditional steel structures Experience designing concrete structures Experience with general industrial facilities Semiconductor-related facility experience Experience leading small design packages Experience guiding small teams of designers Experience with design automation or emerging design technologies Job Responsibilities Develop and coordinate 3D structural models based on verbal instructions, markups, and conceptual sketches Produce complete, coordinated, and constructible drawing sets for assigned scope Apply department and client standards to structural design and documentation work Own assigned scope from assignment through issuance, including coordination, schedule, and quality Review models and documents for quality, completeness, and standards compliance before formal QA/QC Coordinate with engineers and related disciplines to resolve design and documentation issues Execute assigned scope without continuous oversight Lead defined scopes or small packages through coordination and delivery Guide small teams of designers on assigned packages Coordinate team tasks and balance workloads to maintain progress and deadlines Ensure quality and standards compliance across contributed work within assigned scope Own internal reviews and support cross-discipline and external package reviews Advance design automation skills and apply emerging technologies where appropriate
