This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire fabrication process, ensuring production efficiency, maintaining rigorous quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and expertise in manufacturing systems such as SAP, ERP, and MRP to optimize workflows and supply chain management. Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of the structural steel fabrication process, from planning through final assembly, ensuring timely delivery of quality products. Oversee production management activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization using our in-house processes as well as developing new to reinforce a quality and efficient production environment. Implement lean manufacturing principles and process improvement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Coordinate with supply chain teams to analyze logistics, manage inventory levels, and streamline procurement processes for raw materials and components. Monitor quality control procedures throughout fabrication stages to ensure compliance with safety standards, engineering specifications, and client requirements. Drive plant management initiatives focused on safety, operational excellence, and team development while maintaining a high-performance work environment. Utilize supply chain analytics to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and develop solutions that improve overall manufacturing throughput. Requirements Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment specializing in structural steel or heavy fabrication industries. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in assembly processes related to steel fabrication. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or similar enterprise resource planning platforms; experience with MRP systems is essential. Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing methodologies. Knowledge of quality control standards specific to steel fabrication and structural integrity requirements. Excellent skills in supply chain management, logistics coordination, and operations management within a manufacturing setting. Ability to analyze data using supply chain analytics tools to inform decision-making and optimize production workflows.
