Structural Steel Journeyman Ironworker Job Type:
Full-Time /
Hourly Pay Range:
$28
  • 32 per hour (based on experience, reliability, and demonstrated productivity) We are seeking a full-time Structural Steel Journeyman Ironworker to rig, connect, detail, and deck structural steel on residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a driven and dependable structural steel ironworker who takes pride in his work, accountability, and doing things the right way. This position requires consistent effort, physical endurance, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities:
  • Rig, connect, detail, and deck structural steel safely and accurately
  • Read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and field layouts
  • Perform layout and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit and alignment
  • Safely operate aerial lifts, telehandlers, hand tools, and power tools
  • Follow all jobsite safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Work with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining high safety and quality standards
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with foremen, crew members, and jobsite personnel
  • Take direction well and contribute positively to crew productivity and morale
  • Show up prepared, on time, and ready to work each day
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and respect on every jobsite
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    3+ years of structural steel erection, connecting, decking, or miscellaneous metals experience preferred
  • Technical Skills:
    Strong rigging practices, consistent error-free bolt-up, solid layout skills, and safe use of trade-specific tooling
  • Blueprint Reading:
    Ability to read and interpret erection drawings and sections, as well as shop drawings for reference
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to work comfortably at heights in active construction environments
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, climbing, and working in varying weather conditions
  • Dependable, punctual, and accountable for personal performance and jobsite conduct
  • Positive attitude, coachable mindset, and ability to work well within a team environment
  • Ability to take direction, communicate clearly, and contribute to a productive crew
  • Valid driver's license preferred; reliable transportation required
  • Comfortable working in a company culture guided by Christian values
