Structural Steel Welder, Fabricator, or Fitter FIRST SHIFT

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, including structural steel and custom fabrications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality, and craftsmanship are paramount. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components. Perform FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and welding techniques to join various metals in accordance with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble structural components. Measure materials precisely using measuring tools; perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate fabrication dimensions. Conduct rigging and crane operations safely when moving heavy materials or assemblies on-site or within the workshop. Use fabrication equipment such as band saws, ironworkers, and machining tools for precise component manufacturing. Follow safety protocols diligently while working in manufacturing environments; maintain a clean and organized workspace. Assist with assembly of fabricated components into larger structures or systems following schematics and technical instructions. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment responsibly to transport materials safely across work areas. Experience Hands-on experience with FCAW welding processes; certification is a plus but not mandatory. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for precise fabrication work. Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment safely in compliance with industry standards. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks. Experience working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities involving steel structures or piping systems preferred.
