STUDENT BEHAVIORAL SPECIALIST
NYS CertifiedSalary:
TBD based on Experience (SFEA Contract) Job QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Master's Degree from accredited college in Special Education, School Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology or closely related field and Certified in NYS to practice in a school setting required. Experience working with students with disabilities, particularly behavioral challenges. Training and experience in Applied Behavioral Analysis; Board Certification (BCBA) or enrolled in a program or pursing (willing to pursue (BCBA must be completed within four years). Experience in writing and implementing FBA/BIPs. Ability to work with school and district administrators, teachers, related service providers, support staff, students, and families. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation). OR Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plusEITHER:
(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work or any psychology, counseling, or education field plus two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges, development disabilities, psychological disorders, or mental health issues in a structured environment; OR, (B) Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Behavioral Analyst issued by the New York State Office of the Professions plus two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges, development disabilities, psychological disorders, or mental health issues in a structured environment•.Similar remote jobs
