Bilingual (Spanish and English preferred) Position Summary The Student Pastor is responsible for leading and developing the youth and Segadores Young Adults (SYA) ministries at Segadores de Vida. This role provides spiritual leadership, discipleship, and strategic oversight to ensure that the next generation is engaged, equipped, and growing in their relationship with Christ. The Student Pastor will cultivate a thriving ministry environment that develops young leaders, creates meaningful group experiences, and builds bridges between students, families, and the broader church community. This role ensures that all student ministry initiatives align with and uphold the Vision of Segadores de Vida (SDV) . Key Responsibilities Next Generation Teaching & Spiritual Formation Deliver relevant, biblically grounded teachings that connect with today s generation of youth and young adults. Communicate spiritual truths in a way that is engaging, culturally aware, and aligned with the vision of Segadores de Vida. Provide consistent discipleship opportunities that encourage spiritual growth and maturity among students. Leadership Development Identify, mentor, and develop student ministry leaders and volunteers . Build leadership teams that support the youth and SYA ministries. Create leadership pathways that allow students and young adults to grow into ministry roles and responsibilities. Equip leaders with training and resources necessary for effective ministry. Youth & SYA Ministry Oversight Oversee the planning, structure, and overall experience of Youth and Segadores Young Adults (SYA) gatherings . Develop strategies that foster engagement, discipleship, and community among students and young adults. Ensure that ministry gatherings reflect the culture, values, and vision of Segadores de Vida. Work collaboratively with other ministry departments to support student involvement in the life of the church. Vision Alignment Ensure that all youth and young adult ministry initiatives align with and support the Vision of Segadores de Vida (SDV) . Implement ministry structures, programs, and experiences that reflect the church s discipleship and leadership model. Partner with pastoral leadership to maintain unity and alignment across ministries. Parent Engagement & Partnership Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and families of students. Serve as a bridge between the church and parents by providing communication, support, and spiritual guidance. Equip parents with tools and encouragement to support the spiritual growth of their children. Outreach & Community Engagement Plan and lead quarterly outreach initiatives designed to serve and reach the local community. Create opportunities for youth and young adults to actively participate in evangelism, service projects, and community engagement. Encourage a culture of mission and outreach within the student ministry. Guest Follow-Up & Integration Establish and maintain a follow-up system for first-time guests in youth and SYA ministries. Ensure new attendees are welcomed, connected, and integrated into groups or leadership pathways. Track engagement and participation to help students become active members of the ministry community. Teaching in Main Services Teach and minister in main worship services (Wednesday or Sunday) when requested by pastoral leadership. Represent the student ministry as part of the pastoral team during church services and events. Qualifications Spiritual & Ministry Qualifications Demonstrated calling and passion for youth and young adult ministry . Strong commitment to the vision and mission of Segadores de Vida. Ability to disciple, mentor, and inspire the next generation of leaders. Professional Qualifications Experience leading or serving in youth or young adult ministry. Strong communication and teaching abilities. Organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and ministry initiatives. Ability to connect with both students and parents effectively. Language Requirement Spanish and English proficiency preferred to effectively minister within the Segadores de Vida community.
