ABOUT US.
Lenawee Christian Ministries provides Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ. The ministry is made up of two operating entities: Lenawee Christian School and the Christian Family Centre, located in Adrian, MI. Lenawee Christian School exists in partnership with the family and church to integrate Biblical truth for life with a commitment to glorifying Jesus Christ through academic excellence and spiritual maturity. The Christian Family Centre is a world-class fitness and family activity facility that strives to assist families and individuals grow in their physical, social, and spiritual wellness with Jesus Christ being the center.
POSITION SUMMARY.
The Student Supervision Aide provides supervision and support for students during non-instructional times throughout the school day, including arrival, dismissal, hallways, lunch, and recess. This role ensures a safe, orderly, and Christ-centered environment while reinforcing school expectations and supporting student well-being. The Aide plays a vital role in maintaining campus safety, promoting positive student interactions, and supporting the overall school environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
Arrival & Dismissal Supervision Supervise students during arrival and dismissal to ensure safe and orderly transitions. Assist with traffic flow, drop-off/pick-up procedures, and student movement. Ensure students are released to appropriate individuals according to school procedures. Hallway & Campus Supervision Monitor hallways, common areas, and transitions between classes or activities. Ensure students follow school expectations for behavior and movement. Maintain visibility and awareness of student activity throughout assigned areas. Lunchroom Support Oversee student behavior during lunch periods, promoting a calm and orderly environment. Assist students with basic needs as appropriate. Support transitions to and from lunch. Ensure cleanliness and organization of lunchroom areas. Recess & Outdoor Supervision Monitor playground and recreational activities to ensure student safety. Encourage inclusive play, sportsmanship, and positive peer interactions. Enforce playground rules and ensure proper use of equipment. Behavior Support & Environment Reinforce school expectations and model respectful, Christ-centered behavior. Address minor conflicts and redirect behavior in a calm, consistent manner. Communicate concerns or repeated behavior issues to appropriate staff. Safety & Incident Response Respond promptly to injuries, conflicts, or safety concerns. Report incidents according to school procedures. Follow all safety, supervision, and emergency response protocols. General Support Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of supervision areas. Support special events, assemblies, or school activities as assigned. Perform other duties related to student supervision as directed. Mission Integration Model Christ-centered values in all interactions with students and staff. Foster a positive, respectful, and encouraging environment.
QUALIFICATIONS.
Christian Faith & Character Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Exhibit a consistent Christian testimony and adherence to biblical principles in personal and professional life. Demonstrate spiritual maturity, humility, and a strong commitment to excellence and servant leadership Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or youth environment preferred. Knowledge & Skills Ability to supervise and engage groups of children effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in a variety of situations. Ability to enforce rules in a consistent and respectful manner. Strong situational awareness and attentiveness. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during recess. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS.
This position is classified as part-time, hourly, non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws. Employees are required to accurately record all hours worked. Work schedules will align with the school day and academic calendar, including: Arrival and dismissal periods Lunch and recess coverage Hallway and transition supervision Regular, reliable, and on-site attendance is required. Employment is at-will and contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, including background screening and adherence to the ministry's Statement of Faith and Lifestyle Commitment.
