Substance Abuse Counselor

Full-Time Position - LADC /

CADC Location:

Yerington, NV We are seeking a full-time LADC or CADC to join our multidisciplinary treatment team in a residential behavioral health program serving adolescents. The ideal candidate is trauma-informed, organized, and passionate about helping youth build long-term recovery skills within a structured therapeutic environment. Responsibilities Provide individual, family, and group substance abuse counseling services Facilitate recovery-focused and psychoeducational groups Complete assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge documentation Collaborate with clinical, medical, case management, education, and direct care staff Support youth in developing coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and healthy decision-making Maintain compliance with Medicaid, licensing, CARF, and program documentation standards Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical consultations Qualifications Current Nevada LADC or CADC credential required Experience working with adolescents or behavioral health populations preferred Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care, and substance abuse treatment Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to work effectively within a team-based treatment environment Must successfully complete required background checks and clearances Preferred Experience PRTF, RTC, residential treatment, or juvenile justice experience Experience facilitating DBT, CBT, Seeking Safety, ART, or recovery-based groups Familiarity with Medicaid and behavioral health documentation requirements Compensation & Benefits Full-time position Starting salary: $70,000 per year Benefits package available Opportunities for professional growth and advancement To apply, please submit your resume and credentials.
