As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), you will play a vital role in supporting Catalyst Cares Empowerment Center with substance use disorders on their path to recovery. Drawing upon your own lived experience and specialized training, you will provide peer support, advocacy, and guidance to individuals seeking treatment for substance use challenges.
Responsibilities:
Engage with Catalyst Cares Empowerment Center in a supportive and non-judgmental manner, utilizing your lived experience to foster empathy and understanding. Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address substance use-related challenges and support recovery goals. Collaborate with Catalyst Cares Empowerment Center to develop personalized treatment plans and strategies for relapse prevention. Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate Catalyst Cares Empowerment Center' substance use history, treatment needs, and goals for recovery. Collaborate with clinical staff to develop and implement individualized service plans that address the full spectrum of behavioral health needs. Facilitate psychoeducational groups and workshops on topics such as addiction recovery, coping skills, and healthy lifestyle habits. Empower Catalyst Cares Empowerment Center to develop skills for managing cravings, triggers, and high-risk situations through evidence-based interventions. Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to Catalyst Cares Empowerment Center experiencing substance use-related crises or setbacks. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely access to appropriate levels of care and support services. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all peer support interactions, assessments, and service plans in accordance with regulatory standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor (CADC) issued by the CCAPP Completion of supervised counseling hours and successful passage of the CADC examination. Lived experience of substance use disorder and a commitment to personal recovery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust. Knowledge of evidence-based practices for substance use treatment and relapse prevention. Strong advocacy skills and a dedication to promoting the rights and dignity of individuals with substance use disorders. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive treatment environment. Proficiency in basic computer skills for documentation purposes. Annual TB testing is a mandatory requirement for this position.

$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
