Job Description

Are you looking to make a significant impact in the life of others? RESADA, a 30-day inpatient treatment center located in scenic Colorado, is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Counselor Trainees. This entry-level position is a fantastic opportunity for those aspiring to become Certified Addiction Counselors. Here at RESADA, we provide robust training programs and financial support for your certification journey! No experience is necessary - what matters most is your desire to support individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Starting pay for this position ranges from $15 to $17 per hour based on your relevant experience and any credentials you may have, such as the CAT or CAS certification in Colorado. As a Counselor Trainee, you will perform various semi-skilled duties as an Associate Counselor, contributing to both residential treatment and detox settings. Our job requirements include a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification, at least 18 years of age, and a valid First Aid/CPR certification (which you can obtain within six months of starting). If you have a personal history with substance use, we ask that you present evidence of one year of sobriety to join our team. Your responsibilities will include managing client intake and discharge processes, maintaining client records with confidentiality, and accompanying clients through their treatment and recovery journey. You will also need to develop a solid understanding of addiction symptoms, behaviors, treatment strategies, and maintain effective communication with clients and staff alike. Moreover, participation in training workshops and community agency outreach is essential to your role. This position includes shift work and requires adherence to all established treatment and personnel policies.
